As athletes, we would all like to achieve more consistent performances and results in our particular disciplines, but every athlete can fall short in giving their best and achieving more.
Most coaches and athletes would agree that the major factor for strong athletic performance is the mental side of the game, but for the most part athletes and coaches fail to either train the mental side enough or ignore it thinking traditional training will suffice.
Each athlete regardless of skill level, experience and talent can achieve higher performance levels by training the mental side of the game. The aim is to help the athletes to reach their objectives and improve their mental toughness to sustain success.

Meet Dr. Oliveira

Dr. Oliveira has dedicated the last 20 years of her career to training professionals in education, academics, and sports.
She is an educator, Rice University lecturer, author, former collegiate soccer coach, and former psychology specialist in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
She also works with semi-pro, professional players, college and club players, and Olympians.
She has also expanded her expertise into research studies in attention management, mindfulness, and imagery as a foundation of her mental training program for sports performance.

The Athlete Mindset Program
What is the main difference between the Athlete Mindset Program and traditional training? The Athlete Mindset program does not use traditional, hard, exhausting drills to forge mental toughness.
The Athlete Mindset sessions aim to help athletes handle performance at crucial points during a competition like dealing with coaching, and teammates, or during play on the field, court, or track which helps the athlete build a strong “athlete mindset.”
How do athletes build greater confidence, resilience, and consistent improvement?
The key is in Dr. Oliveira’s sessions, which include the benefits of psychological research and principles from positive psychology, science-backed tools to support autonomic nervous system balance, and evidence-based cognitive and visual learning tools.
Athletes can set themselves apart with improved focus and refined mental abilities. The athlete’s continued improvement helps develop their unique style, helping them become more effective as athletes.
The Athlete Mindset Program has performed consistently well since its inception in 2015.
The program has seen over 150 athletes learn from incorporating mental training techniques during training, games, and academic performance this includes national team players, coaches, and trainers.
The Athlete Mindset Coach will organize sessions that fit the needs of the specific individual athletes.
The aim of the Athlete Mindset Coach during these sessions is to help the player/athlete grow through the use of the application of evidence-based tools, for example, a VIA survey.
A VIA Survey allows the coach to gather details on personal strengths to aid the athlete in laying a foundation for success. This tool is just one of many the coach will use to help the athlete.
The athletes will go through the three-phase process in order to build a foundation and improve steadily.
Phase One
Phase One involves discovery and utilization of the athlete’s best qualities and strengths (VIA survey, sport performance activities, mindfulness concept)
Phase Two
Phase Two utilizes qualities engagement, and personal style in strengthening performance level (for tryouts, training, games, meetings, etc.)
Phase Three
Phase Three is the Program Foundation and Concept: Mental Training Skills Development for Sports Performance and Mindfulness.
How Many Sessions Does The Program Require?
The Athlete Mindset Program recommends a minimum of six (6) sessions after the first introductory session to achieve maximum growth.
Please note: Athletes can choose from a very flexible schedule to book their sessions once they have joined the Athlete Mindset program.
